Over the last few years Ian has surveyed numerous of the Aqualine vessels as originally supplied by the New and Used Boat company.

The Aqualine plant is sited in the ship building area of Gdansk, Eastern Poland.  Ian recently visited the plant in order to see the build process himself at first hand where he was able to meet some of the staff and view a number of vessels in various stages of completion.

This process was particularly useful in that those areas of the construction, which are typically concealed by the vessel final fit-out were accessible for inspection.  The visit gave Ian the opportunity to study the underlying construction fit-out and the materials used, this knowledge will be invaluable when inspecting second hand vessels for customers.

The plant is truly impressive, in particular the effort which clearly goes into sourcing quality materials which are used by the skilled craftsmen at Aqualine to produce a high quality finished product.  

The joinery shop manufactures the solid wood furniture, starting with locally sourced timber which is initially roughly cut but is processed into individually styled units which are treated, sealed and finished for installation in the vessels according to customer specifications.

Attention to detail and pride in the finished product being produced were clear throughout the plant at each stage of construction from steel sourcing, hull welding, carpentry, mechanical and electrical installations.
